Hidden in a strip mall I'd consider this multi Asian focused. a sushi bar is the main people eat here but it's becoming the Korean for me. the sushi and the bibimbap was very good too. Service is something they pride themselves on, take-out or eat in and they appear to have a lot of repeat business. I've been back at least 4 times so it's in my rotation now. The sushi boats are very popular, a combination. There were at over half of the tables there
Best Sushi spot you'll find around, my wife loves it and stops by often. The staff are always incredibly friendly and provide fast service. Their eel nigiri is fantastic and their Crunchy roll are perfectly balanced. Highly recommend stopping by, it's sure to become a fast favorite.
First time here with a guest. Food was incredibly delicious! Such good Asian flavors! Sooo good! We had the Shrimp Udon, Fried Rice, California Shrimp Sushi, and Spicy Salmon Sushi. On the house was Miso soup - now that was very good, first time having that soup. The attention by the staff was excellent. Johnny on the spot. I will definitely come here again if I'm in the area and in the mood for Sushi!!
I've been here twice and I have not been disappointed. Great sushi. Great price. No complaints. I'll go back when I'm in the area and i recommend
To conclude an afternoon of running errands, I decided to try a new place in the neighborhood for some takeout, and sushi always sounds good so to Asahi I went. I looked over the very extensive sushi menu (prices run from $4 - $21). Made my selections (not an easy thing with that many choices) and was told it would be about 15 minutes to prepare. 5 minutes later I had my order in hand. After finishing my fare and enjoying every bit of it (and reading the rest of the menu), I realized I'll need to return to try something off the sushi side of things. Korean, anyone? And because I think my ratings might be a touch off here. Wish ½ stars were an option, Google. Guess I'll update after an in-house, sit down visit.
Every time we have been in the food and service have been wonderful, but we stopped in around 2pm for a late lunch randomly, it was quiet in there, and the ma ager and chef went above and beyond with friendliness, presentations, and adding a little something special to our order just becasue I mentioned how nice it looked in the prep window (we sat at the bar)
We are regulars at Asahi, and there is a reason why. Top notch sushi and top notch sushi. Even the waiter overheard that it was my sons 18th birthday (again, overheard, we did not tell them). They still surprised us with 2 delicious deserts and played the violin at the table. Asahi never disappoints.
